Viewers, vegetables are rich source of antioxidants vitamins, minerals, fiber and other phytonutrients, which are very helpful to ease many diseases, including joint pain or arthritis. These are not full medication or medicine, but very helpful ingredient to ease arthritis along with other medication. In previous videos, i disclosed certain fruits, nuts & seeds to cure arthritis. In this video, i will discuss some vegetables to cure joint pains naturally.
#1. Green Leafy Vegetables.
Energy production & metabolic processes in the body produce harmful byproducts, called free radicals, which damage cells, and implicated in the development of, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), and in the inflammation that attacks joints. Green, leafy vegetables such as broccoli, spinach, Brussels sprouts, kale, Swiss chard and bok choy are packed with antioxidants like vitamins A, C and K, which protect cells from free-radical damage & high in bone-preserving calcium. Vegetables also contain a natural compound called sulforaphane, which blocks, the inflammatory process and might slow cartilage damage in osteoarthritis (OA). On the other hand, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Red & Green Peppers and Squash, have distinctive color from carotenoids like beta-cryptoxanthin. Some research suggests that eating more foods rich in beta-cryptoxanthin, could reduce your risk of developing RA, and other inflammatory conditions. Red& Green pepper is a rich source of vitamin which preserves bone & cartilage. So, use green leafy vegetables in your everyday diet, to get fruitful results.
#2. Onion & Garlic.
These pungent vegetables are rich in a type of antioxidant, called quercetin. Studies show that quercetin’s potential ability to relieve inflammation in diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Such vegetables also contain a compound, called diallyl disulphine, which may reduce the enzymes that damage cartilage.
#3. Olive Oil.
Olives and olive oil can be potent inflammation fighters. Extra-virgin olive oil contains the compound oleocanthal, a natural anti-inflammatory agent that has properties similar to the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), helpful to ease arthritis.
One should avoid night shade vegetables like, Eggplants, peppers, tomatoes, and potatoes. These vegetables contain the chemical solanine, due to which, some people claim aggravates arthritis pain and inflammation. So, avoid nightshade vegetables, to make joints healthy.
